Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Madras Marketers website, platform, and related services (collectively, the "Platform"), operated by Madras Marketers & its Affiliates, Veva Studio ("Madras Marketers", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, browsing marketer profiles, submitting an inquiry, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

Madras Marketers is a discovery and connection platform that showcases marketing professionals — including agency founders, freelancers, consultants, and marketing co-founders — to brands and businesses looking to hire or collaborate with them ("Marketers" and "Brands", together "Users"). We provide the infrastructure for Marketers to build a public portfolio and for Brands to discover and reach out to them.

Madras Marketers is not a staffing agency, employer, or party to any engagement, contract, or transaction between a Marketer and a Brand.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Platform. By registering, you represent that all information you provide is accurate and that you have the authority to enter into these Terms.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You may sign in using an email and password, or via Google sign-in.

Marketer profiles — including your name, title, bio, portrait, company history, and portfolio details — are submitted by you and reviewed by our team before appearing publicly. New and edited profiles are placed in a "Pending Verification" state until reviewed.

We may request clarification, decline to publish, or remove content that we believe is inaccurate, misleading, or violates these Terms, at our discretion. You represent that all content you submit is truthful, that you own or have the rights to any images or materials you upload, and that you have the right to reference the companies and roles listed in your profile.

You agree not to:

• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity, experience, or affiliations
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information in your profile or an inquiry
• Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data from the Platform
• Harass, spam, or send unsolicited commercial messages to other Users
• Attempt to circumvent our profile verification process
• Upload malicious code or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the Platform
• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose

Brands may submit inquiries (such as booking a call, hiring a freelancer, or a general question) through a Marketer's portfolio page. These inquiries are routed to the relevant Marketer via the contact details associated with their account.

Madras Marketers facilitates this introduction but is not responsible for, and does not mediate, the substance of any resulting conversation, negotiation, agreement, or engagement between a Brand and a Marketer. Any contract, payment, deliverable, or dispute arising from such an engagement is strictly between the Brand and the Marketer.

Browsing the Platform, creating a profile and sending inquiries are free. Marketers who want their profile verified pay a one-time verification fee, shown on the checkout page before payment (including any early-bird price or coupon discount). Payments are processed by Razorpay; refunds and cancellations follow our Refund & Cancellation Policy, and the service is delivered online.

Services arranged between users through a profile (consulting, freelance work, Ask Me Anything sessions, mentorship and similar) are agreed and paid directly between those users; Madras Marketers does not collect payment for them. We may introduce fees for other features in the future; if we do, we will give reasonable advance notice and they will only apply going forward.

The Madras Marketers name, logo, website design, and platform code are the property of Madras Marketers & its Affiliates, Veva Studio and may not be copied or used without permission.

You retain ownership of the content you upload to your profile (bio, portrait, portfolio materials), but you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute that content on the Platform and in related promotional materials for as long as your profile is active.

The Platform relies on select third-party service providers to operate, including Cloudinary for image hosting and Google for optional sign-in. Your use of these features may also be subject to the relevant third party's own terms and privacy practices.

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any Marketer's profile, claims of experience, or portfolio, nor do we guarantee that any inquiry will result in a successful engagement.

Brands are responsible for conducting their own due diligence before entering into any arrangement with a Marketer found through the Platform.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Madras Marketers & its Affiliates, Veva Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform, or any engagement, dispute, or transaction between Users.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms, provided false information, or misused the Platform. You may also request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
